These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of GroundLog, a field compliance platform for environmental inspection and construction-compliance work, operated by GroundLog LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company ("GroundLog", "we"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
GroundLog provides tools for daily field logs, photo documentation, field maps and progress tracking, inspection forms, and report generation, on the web and as an iOS app. Features may be added, changed, or retired over time; we will notify you in the app of material changes.
AI-assisted report polishing and generation are optional. When you use them, the relevant field-log text is sent to the Anthropic Claude API to produce a draft. Anthropic does not retain that content or use it for training under its API data policy. You may use your own API key or, where offered, GroundLog's key, which is subject to fair-use limits. AI output is a draft: you must review it before relying on it or submitting it to anyone.
GroundLog is a documentation tool. It does not provide legal, engineering, or regulatory advice, and it does not replace the record-keeping, inspections, or certifications your permits, contracts, or agencies require. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your records and for reviewing every generated report before it is submitted to any agency, owner, or client.
Use GroundLog lawfully. Do not attempt to access other users' data or projects without authorization, probe or interfere with the service, upload malicious code, or upload content that is unlawful or that you do not have the right to use. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practicable.
GroundLog is currently offered at no charge to individual users. Any paid plans for organizations will be agreed in writing outside the app. Nothing in the app requires a purchase to access your own data.
We work to keep GroundLog available and keep daily backups for disaster recovery, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Keep your own copies of compliance-critical records as your permits require; the app's export features exist for that purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GroundLog is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the service. GroundLog's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing.
You may stop using GroundLog and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, your right to use the service ends; your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify you in the app. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
